At The Lake Primary School, Health & Physical Education is an essential part of the student’s development, promoting health, confidence and teamwork through a variety of engaging and inclusive activities. Our Health and PE program is designed to support physical literacy and encourage a lifelong love of movement.
Students participate in a broad range of sports and activities, including team games, fitness challenges, gymnastics and dance. Our swimming program ensures all children develop vital water safety and swimming skills before participating in our annual Swimming Carnival.
As our Laker students move through the year levels, they participate in Senior Sports, proudly representing the school in a variety of interschool competitions while developing teamwork, confidence, and leadership through sport.
Highlights of our sporting calendar include our energetic Athletics Day and Cross Country event, where every student is encouraged to do their best, cheer on their peers, and celebrate personal achievements.
Our newly developed “Pedal & Putt” area offers students the opportunity to enjoy a range of active experiences, including a golf putting green, lawn bowls and a bike pump track.
Our Health and Physical Education program encourages healthy habits, resilience and a positive attitude to fitness and wellbeing.
